STEINA's Semi-Transparent Exterior Wood Stain by Passeport Elite is a penetrating oil stain formulated with oils and alkyd resins. It penetrates wood to provide durable protection while enhancing the natural grain. For wood substrates only.
PREPARATION: Surface must be clean and completely dry. Remove all dirt, dust, grease, wax and mildew. All previous stains, paints or sealers must be completely removed. Sand if needed to remove loose wood fibers. Wood moisture content must be 12% or less. MIXING: Mix thoroughly before use and stir regularly during application. If using more than one container, mix together first. Do not thin. APPLICATION: ONE COAT ONLY. Apply to clean, dry wood between 10 °C and 32 °C. Apply using a Passeport Élite natural bristle brush, a Passeport Élite stain applicator pad, or professional spray equipment. When spraying, back-brush immediately. Avoid over-application. DRY TIME: 24 to 48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. APPROXIMATE COVERAGE: Up to 500 sq. ft. per gallon on smooth surfaces. Approximately 250 sq. ft. per gallon on rough surfaces. Actual coverage may vary depending on wood condition.
