STEINA Solid Stain for decks, fences and siding is ideal for conventional and pressure treated wood. It is also suitable for metal* and vinyl* surfaces. This stain contains a unique rust inhibitor to retard nail and screw head rusting. STEINA Solid Stain is designed for use on surfaces that are subjected to the rigors of drastic weather and temperature conditions, abrasion, acid rain or snow. It provides maximum protection against water, UV rays and general atmospheric contamination. This stain resists cracking, peeling and blistering. With its exceptional adhesion and superior abrasion resistance, this alkyd modified acrylic provides supreme durability. PRIMER: For a uniform finish and to prevent knots from bleeding, we strongly recommend using STEINA Stain Blocking Primer before applying stain. METAL*: All ferrous metal must be primed with an appropriate metal primer. VINYL*: Vertical vinyl surfaces may be coated, but the new colour must be equal to or lighter than the existing colour. Colours that are darker than the existing colour may lead to warping or permanently damage the vinyl itself. A bonding primer would be recommended for maximum performance. COMPOSITE: Composite decking may be coated, but newer style composite decking that is wrapped/capped in a solid vinyl shell, must be primed with STEINA Stain Blocking Primer or an appropriate bonding primer.
