STEINA water-based interior wood varnish provides a clear, durable, uniform finish that protects wood and enhances its natural look. It is virtually odourless, fast-drying and highly resistant to everyday wear. Suitable for furniture, cabinets, doors, mouldings and floors.
PREPARATION – BARE WOOD: Sand in the direction of the wood grain using 120- or 150-grit sandpaper. Do not use steel wool. Remove all sanding dust with a vaccuum and wipe with a clean, dry cloth. USE OVER STAIN: Allow the stained surface to dry completely before applying STEINA varnish. For best results, STEINA stains are recommended. PREPARATION – PREVIOUSLY VARNISHED SURFACES: Surfaces must be clean and dry. Wash with a suitable cleaner, then lightly sand using 150-grit sandpaper. MIXING: Bring product to room temperature. Stir well before and during application. APPLICATION: Apply 2 to 3 even coats following the wood grain. Lightly sand before the last coat using 180-grit sandpaper. Remove dust before recoating. RECOMMENDED APPLICATORS: High-quality brush, 6 mm lint-free roller or HVLP spray equipment. COVERAGE: Up to 160 sq. ft. (15 m²) per litre. DRYING TIME: Allow at least 4 hours between coats. Wait 24 hours before light use and 7 days before heavy use or putting down rugs. Full cure after 30 days. CLEANING: Clean tools with warm, soapy water immediately after use. VOC: < 250 g/L
