Old Masters wiping stain Old Masters Wiping Stain is a cutting edge, robust interior oil-based stain for use on wood, fiberglass, coated metal and composition surfaces. This product is intended for interior use only. Can be used as a glaze on painted surfaces such as cabinet doors.
Application Method: Wood: apply stain liberally with a brush, lint-free cloth or spray bottle until the surface is completely wet. Wipe off excess with a soft cloth against the grain of the wood and then in the direction of the grain. On surfaces such as fiberglass and composite, excess stain should be removed from the brush with a lint-free cloth regularly. On painted surfaces, use the wiping stain as a glaze and apply it with cheesecloth or a brush to simulate wood grain.
