Scotch® Contractor Grade Masking Tape is a general-purpose masking tape designed for use on tough surfaces. It can be used on vinyl, carpet, metal and plastic to provide the protection needed to get the job done. Scotch® Contractor Grade Masking Tape adheres to surfaces for up to 3 days and removes easily without leaving a sticky residue. For excellent painting results, the surface must be clean, dry and dust-free for the tape to adhere properly. Apply masking tape to the surface, pressing firmly. For optimum adhesion, allow the tape to adhere for 30 to 60 minutes before applying the paint. When you've finished painting, make sure the paint is completely dry before removing the tape. To lift, gently pull the tape towards itself, then remove it at a 45-degree angle.
